ANOTHER KINGDOM RULE
““Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”” Mark 4:24–25 NIV
GOOD DAY: This is another rule of the kingdom of God that actually determines the quality of our lives. I used to consider this as unjust when I was thinking in the natural sense of it that the poor should be given more money so they can have enough. Some time ago, my eyes opened to the Law of Attraction. The law is that you attract what you listen and pay attention to. This is why Jesus wants us to be careful what we hear. When you hear something over and over, it sinks into your heart and the kingdom of God works it out for you. God gave Joshua the formula for good success in Joshua 1:8. Have you noticed that the more interest you show in a topic, the more of it is brought to your attention? The more you hear it, the more opportunities to become what you hear comes your way.
I saw a post of an article in the Nigerian Tribune of June 1983 titled NIGERIANS ARE HUNGRY. The person now wrote a comment under it that since 1983 we have been hearing this up until now, when will Nigerians not be hungry? We have said and listened to the hunger talk since 1983 and we have been given hunger more and more to match what we say and hear. We keep saying and hearing that our leaders are corrupt and we keep producing corrupt leaders. Why don’t we find better things to say and listen to about our country? Why don’t you do the same thing about your life? In your stock taking, see how you flow with the spiritual law of the universe (the Law of Attraction) and see how you can change what you hear and say.
PRAY: Dear Lord, the popular way of saying and hearing how it is has been an easy story to tell and hear. Help me Lord to filter what I say and listen to that will change my situation to what You will it to be.
