TO THE WALK AND THE WORK
“Now listen to me: I will give you counsel, and God be with you. You be the people’s representative before God, and you bring the disputes to God, then teach them the statutes and the laws, and make known to them the way in which they are to walk and the work they are to do.”
Exodus 18:19-20 NASB1995
GOOD DAY. First, I thank everyone for the prayers, gifts and beautiful comments sent to me yesterday. May the Lord fulfill your heart’s desires too. May your joy be full in Jesus name. We have a better year in the knowledge of God in the year to come in Jesus’ name. God bless you all.
Now to the walk we are to walk and the work we are to do to be fulfilled in our life in Christ. First, each of us must believe that God exists. This is so relevant now because unless we believe, we will not seek Him to know Him. So many people will say they believe their is God especially in the less developed part of the world because the idea of God is the only thing that gives them hope. Their government have not taken any steps that favor the lowly population. In advanced countries where the basics of life are provided by the government, there is little need of God for them. But there is God. The confusion and wickedness of human mind cannot be controlled by science or any other form of development except by God who made the mind. Love, peace, joy, patience,and kindness cannot be guaranteed or scientifically guaranteed. No matter the comfort a person has, if these virtues are absent, the comforts mean nothing. On the other hand however, no matter the amount of discomfort a person has, if he has the virtues that science cannot manufacture, he has everything. Consider the destruction that war creates in any warring country; all the development turned to rubbles in a split second! The first work to do therefore is for each person to consider if he believes there is God and what his concept of God is. This is the fundamental work to begin a walk with God. If this is not done, then nothing will give permanent satisfaction to man.
God is not hidden. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”
Romans 1:18-20 NASB1995. Observation of the created world will reveal to anyone that there is a creator. Man has no excuse. As another year is going to an end, work on your belief in the “God that Is”. Then we will begin to learn how to effectively walk with Him.
PRAY: Dear Lord, the world needs you yet it is confused through what man has been able to do. Please send a revival that will make Yourself known.
