AROMA OF HIS PRESENCE.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23 NASB1995
GOOD DAY. We all knew when he was around because the aroma of his perfume was unique. It lingered in our senses for some time after he had left our classroom. He was our math teacher and we all loved him I believe for the feel his perfume gave us. There was also this machine operator that I had. His body odor was sharp and peculiar to him. Everybody was pissed off because of that body odor. Clients will always ask for what was smelling that strongly. The too Holy Spirit has His aroma that makes you know He is with and in you and whoever gives Him room in his heart. The different perfume brands He displays in the heart of His house (the person that allows Him habitation) are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. The first one I noticed when I gave Him residency was PEACE. I had deep peace that I could not understand in the midst of turbulence all around me. Since that time, that peace has never left me. The recent one I am experiencing is PATIENCE. Wao! My senses resist patience; people around me query why I am not aggressively proactive but the Holy Spirit inside me says PATIENCE. In my patience, I have no pain or toxins in me. I am not irritated nor do I feel offended. I find myself praying for the peace of my offender. How beautiful the peace I enjoy as a result of this! I have also noticed that I love without having the pain associated with love by my senses or intellect. It is unconditional love. In short, I find that the Holy Spirit in me wears the perfume that is needed for each particular occasion.
Once I smell Him, I surrender to Him to lead the way. He puts thoughts in my heart and when I understand the thoughts, I smell His aroma of joy. Look friend, the Holy Spirit is vibrant and He makes life vibrant for anyone who allows Him. Let the church teach people how to know the Holy Spirit and relate with Him and God will become vibrant and attractive to people. Jesus is the joy giver not killer. Move close to Him and you will never regret doing so.
PRAY: Dear Lord God, grant that I may know and experience your aroma and let me spread it wherever I go.
