KNOW YE NOT; AWAKEN YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19 NASB1995
GOOD DAY, I suffered for years because I was not conscious of an icon on google docs application that is meant to bring back your current work in case you mistakenly delete. I would spend hours trying to restart writing again and since I have fat fingers, I pressed wrong buttons often and the application obeyed my command. One day however, I accidentally pressed the icon and I noticed that the previous stage of my work came back on screen. I kept pressing it in excitement and I was angry with myself for not finding out earlier. God says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. …”
Hosea 4:6a NASB1995. For lack of knowledge or consciousness, I suffered and wasted a lot of precious time and energy.
What you do not know or what you are not conscious of can destroy you. Lack of consciousness can keep you suffering and bearing a burden you should not. Whatever you are conscious of, you labor to understand and the more you understand the more empowered and free you are.
Today, God wants to open your consciousness to the fact that HE, GOD LIVES IN YOU. It is a mystery, the creator of the whole universe lives in me yet I struggle with far too many things! God is talking to you today asking you if you know He lives in you. If you do, why don’t you look for Him through His word to understand Him and know where He resides in you? I started to consciously understand God in Me through the bible, meditation on bible and prayer and fellowship with people of like desires. It has given me peace, taught me patience and endurance and made me see God as the one we deal with in each other.
Today, keep the fact that the Holy Spirit of God lives in you in your thoughts as much as possible and let it become alive and personal. See what the exercise does to you at the end of the day.
PRAY: Dear Lord, make me conscious of Your residence in my body. Teach me to seek You, find You and relate with You and understand You.
