BE IMITATORS OF GOD

“Therefore, be imitators of God as his dearly loved children.”
Ephesians 5:1 EHV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The religious leaders and people of Jesus’ time could not believe that they are gods and wanted to kill Jesus for saying He is a child of God. “Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said you are gods’?” John 10:34 EHV

Jesus Christ came in the flesh to live here with us and showed us how it is possible for man to be God and how to imitate Him. He told us the way to it in John 5:19. “Jesus answered them directly, “Amen, Amen, I tell you: The Son can do nothing on his own, but only what he sees the Father doing. Indeed, the Son does exactly what the Father does.” John 5:19 EHV

We can see God and imitate Him. Who can we see God? “Blessed are the pure in heart, because they will see God.” Matthew 5:8 EHV. The pure in heart will see God. You keep your heart pure by staying it on God. Your thoughts should be thoughts of God through His word or His name. As you keep God’s word in your heart, you see Him and do what He does. The word of God purifies the heart of man. You get the word of God to your heart by keeping it in your mouth always until it enters your heart and you do it. If you decide to imitate God regarding your health, you keep His word of healing and health in your mouth, until it enters your heart and you will see Him healing you and using you to heal others just as Jesus did. In most cases, we keep the word of sickness in our mouths and it enters our hearts producing all sorts of sicknesses. It is the same thing we do with other aspects of our lives. If you want to imitate God, keep His word in your mouth, then it will enter your heart and you will do it and become that word.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord Jesus for teaching me how to see God and imitate Him. Help me to keep His word in my mouth so it enters my heart and I can see Him and imitate Him.
