BEFORE YOU COMMIT…
“And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; and I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things. Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.”2 Samuel 12:7-9 KJV
GOOD DAY: Yesterday, we spoke about return on investment. Some people felt that was too much to ask from God but God knows all the questions that can come to the human soul. Jesus Himself was the one who gave the parable and whatever God will not do, He won’t ask us to do it.
Here is another story that shows the nature of God. He gave David so much that David did not need to arrange the killing of Uriah to take his wife. If all the wives of Saul and the ones he married had not been enough for him, God would have given him more instead of him killing someone to take his wife thus taking the law into his hands. You, person in position of authority, God has taken you and given you so much, before you embezzle or commit any crime to get more and put the lives of masses in danger, ask God for what you want and He will give you more in a way that you will not injure the innocent. This applies to everyone.
If you think that what you have is not enough, discuss with God first. No language is odd to His ears. He made you so He knows you through and through. If we can take religiosity away from God and relate with Him as father, friend, lover or partner then we shall enjoy him and there will be less wars and confusion and wickedness in the world. REMEMBER THAT HE IS I AM. Think about this passage today and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and lead you into friendship with God.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to unlearn any wrong notions about Your nature and learn Your true nature as I read Your word.
