BEING AWARE OF ME

📖

“Why are you in despair, O my soul? Why have you become restless and disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭42‬:‭11‬ ‭AMP‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Who am I? Unless you become aware of something, you cannot understand it or manage it. In times past, because I did not understand myself, I did not know how to manage ME. Is it not funny? But it is true of all of us. Psalm 42:11 first opened my understanding of ME.

My body looked good and calm. I sat quietly and everything looked good on the outside. But another part of ME was disturbed and disquieted. It was worried and weary. That day, I became really aware of ME. I realised that unless ME was managed, I am not okay. Yet everyday I look after my outside body and spend so much money, energy and attention to keep the outside well but I did not understand how to keep ME good and calm. I realised that I needed to shift my focus to the real ME and how to keep it at peace as nothing I did with the outward me calmed ME down. And until ME is at peace, I am not good at all. What is ME? ME is my SOUL that is the real me who must be well and calm, good and healthy for the outward me to be good.

Until we all become aware of our true self and know how to manage it, the world cannot be at peace. When my soul is good, my life is good. The quality of my soul determines the quality of my life. Today, be aware of YOU as the day goes and notice how it changes.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Lord that you are making me aware and mindful of my soul. Help me to understand how to control my soul as I control and master my body.
