CALL ON ME

““Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:2-3 ESV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: There are many things that do not add up in the world around us. The moment mankind thinks he has all the answers, then something happens that challenges human understanding. I won’t go far beyond our common experiences. The person who works so hard does not get rich as we would expect but the one we consider ‘lazy’ gets rich beyond imagination. The person who is sick and considered likely to die lives on but the healthy one looking after the sick dies. These and many other instances even in science where mankind seems to have advanced come up with mysterious things that are not known but should be pointers to God. Even in our everyday lives, we experience mysteries that are difficult to explain that we just casually ascribe to God.

Our text today ascribes all mysteries to God and asks us to call on Him and He will answer us and explain all mysteries concerning His creation. Calling on God sounds easy yet many people don’t do it. I ask why several times and the answer God gives me is ‘they do not know or believe in Me.’ Apostle Pau asked the same question when he said: “For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:13-14 NLT Although we have many people talking about God, the talks have not produced the faith of God in people.

Today, I leave you to check how often you call on God instead of struggling to figure things out. Also check how much and how accurate your knowledge of God is. Tomorrow, we shall continue on with the knowledge of God.

I pray that as we strive to Know Him, God will reveal Himself to us in Jesus name.
