CAN YOU…?
…“giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” Ephesians 5:20 KJV
GOOD DAY: Another Thanksgiving Day in America is here and some countries celebrate it as well. It is celebrated at the end of harvest to thank God for another harvest and also mark the beginning of Christmas time.
God however asks us to give thanks always for all things unto God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Can you always give thanks for ALL THINGS AND AT ALL TIMES? Today, look in your life and see things happening that you are not happy about or wish would have been different and try giving thanks for them. It is then that you will experience the resistance to thanksgiving within your heart. Give thanks for them until you overcome the resistance to thanksgiving in your heart. Then you will enter another realm of a walk with God.
Today, let us each practice the above scripture with emphasis on thanksgiving for the unpleasant things in our lives and write your feelings in your journal. Write how easy or how difficult it is to thank God in all things and for all things at all times.
PRAY: Dear Lord and Father of mankind, I give You thanks for the things in my life that I have had to live with daily yet I don’t like them. Accept my thanksgiving in Jesus name.
