CARRY ON

đź“–

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9–10 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: There are many questions that we ask as we observe happenings around. Why is a common question that we ask God? Questions like why do the wicked prosper even when they boast of their wickedness; why do the righteous suffer? Why does God permit wars and accidents that take the lives of innocent people? And so on. Many people of old asked the same questions to which God did not give any specific answers except to point them to His majesty and sovereignty.

In the New Testament however, He does give clear instructions to encourage believers on. Apart from looking at His majesty, He encourages each person to keep on being who they are. We are encouraged not to be weary of doing good because in due season, we shall reap the reward. Christ Himself gave this exhortation saying â€śHe who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” Revelation 22:11–12 NKJV  This is what we should keep our focus on. Focus on God’s reward for everyone according to his work. Don’t concern yourself with the wicked who chooses not to change. His reward is sure. The person doing good too should not be weary that he is not appreciated immediately. He should keep on doing good for he will be  rewarded in due season. The reward, especially from God, is what we should consider and focus on in living. Remember that the reward from God is eternal and not just here.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord that You never forget or fail to reward each person for his work. Help me to carry on in doing well. Say to yourself ten times today and as often as you can (I continue to do good always and in all situations. Help me Lord.)
