CONTINUALLY
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Genesis 6:5 KJV
“and the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.” Genesis 8:3 KJV
GOOD DAY: I want us to look at what we do continually for that is what has an impact on our lives. Continually means what you repeat frequently in the same way; regularly. This includes your thought pattern, words and actions. I want us to look at thought patterns today because it is where everything starts and where you relate directly with God. Things don’t just happen at an instant whether good or bad. They had been happening continually as your thoughts of them dictate. Continual thoughts of the heart of man moved God to decide to destroy the earth with a flood. When He called the flood to recede, the water did so continually. So both destruction and building are done continually. What this means is that you should do a review of your continual disposition and see how it is affecting your life. If you want a change, then change your disposition to the state you want even when things are not right. I have chosen the disposition to praise God in all things and for all things no matter good or bad because God says all things work together for good for me because I do love Him and I am called to that purpose. This disposition has guided my life effortlessly to seeing what I have been considering continually.
Today’s exercise: take an inventory of your continuous thought disposition, word pattern and actions to see how they affect your life. Make a change where needed. Things don’t just happen suddenly, they have been happening continuously following our thoughts.
PRAY: Dear Lord, open my understanding to know where I am steering my life by what I think, speak and do continually.
