DELICATE DESIGN

📖

“For you created my inner organs. You wove me together in my mother’s womb.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬ ‭EHV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The intricate nature of our make up is the evidence that God truly created man and all things. Years back, the mother of the queen of England had a piece of fish bone stuck in her throat that needed surgery to pull it out as it made her very uncomfortable and breathing was difficult. I learnt something about our throat recently that made me appreciate the awesomeness of God. Something happened to a very healthy man and the muscles of his throat became so numb that he could neither swallow anything, not even saliva or breath. It dawned on me that the tiny muscles we see around the throat of meat are actually the mover of food and the cartilage of the wind pipe. Thin as they were, they never stop working as we breathe.  God is awesome and worthy of our worship.

I appreciated when Paul said we should always give thanks. Every saliva and breath that we take successfully demands that we should be thankful. You are truly fearfully and wonderfully crafted. Each of your organs are made by God and the good news is when He finished making the organs, He declared each one GOOD. Make it a morning routine to declare what God says about your organs. Thank Him for their goodness and His care of them. At night, thank Him for seeing you through another day.

When I consider how fragile we are, I wonder why we boast like we have the control of our lives. Let us pray that man will humble himself before God and give glory to Him. Start from yourself. See every man as God’s workmanship and be nice and kind to them no matter their status.

Whatever you may be going through, know that God is in control and He is carrying you through. Give thanks always for God is worthy of your thanks.

Today’s Exercise: Father, I thank You for You did not just make me, You watch over me till the days You marked out for me are over. Blessed be your name O Lord. Teach my heart and my mouth to praise You always.
