July 25. Isaiah ch 13-15
DISCOVERING GOD
(GOD IS THE ONLY GOD)
“‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. Deuteronomy 32:39 ESV
GOOD DAY: The first discovery that molded my relationship with God was the above verse. The fact that He took responsibility for everything and anything that could happen. This challenged the devil idea that was being taught like the only gospel then. This proclamation of God by Himself directs all my thoughts and emotions towards God since then. I understood why the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles were more about God and His ways than the devil and whatever He could do. I also realized that it is good and possible to know there is God yet one does not know him by experience. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
James 2:19 KJV. Demons too believe this so it is not the belief alone but how you allow your belief to shape your life that matters.
Belief in one God is not limited to the Christian alone. So many people are in the prison of the doctrine of the devil in the church and the world that the devil seems to be getting more attention than God and the perspective of these people play out and the world is turning the way we do not want it. See God as the ONLY AND ULTIMATE AUTHORITY who is neither afraid nor ashamed to stand by His actions and see how your heart will tremble and worship Him.
PRAY: Dear Lord, thank You for making me know that You can and You are the One who does all things. Let this thought touch everyone on earth that we may reverence You in all that we do.
