DIVINE INSURANCE

““If you listen to these regulations and faithfully obey them, the Lord your God will keep his covenant of unfailing love with you, as he promised with an oath to your ancestors. And the Lord will protect you from all sickness. He will not let you suffer from the terrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all your enemies!” Deuteronomy 7:12, 15 NLT

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: “I will remove sickness from you, and I will not let the diseases that strike others cling to your body. Deuteronomy 7:15”
The above paraphrase of Deuteronomy 7:15 that God will not allow disease to cling to me caught my attention as I was reading a book yesterday and I went to check the condition for this promise to know the context of it.

The condition for divine health is neither difficult nor unattainable. It is simply listening to the word of God and doing what it says. Jesus said ““Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.” Matthew 7:24 NLT. Wisdom is in listening to and doing the word of God. Like I pointed out some days ago, it is not reading many devotions and observing religious actions that matters but listening to God and doing what He says to you.

You may ask if you can hear God and I say YES you can. If you read the bible and stay your mind on it or put another way, if you allow your mind to cling to the word of God, then disease cannot cling to you. Try it and see that it is true. I leave you to let today’s text charge you to set the goal of listening to God’s word, setting your mind on it until it starts instructing you. Try it and see that it works.
