STOP CALLING THE NAME OF THE LORD IN VAIN.
““You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.”
Exodus 20:7 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: The way people have taken the name of the Lord our God in vain has reached a critical dangerous level where it is hurting the poor man who needs the name of the Lord more. I had an experience yesterday that the Holy Spirit dropped this message in my heart. A lady called my number and was sounding unclear and in pain. I didn’t hear 90% of what she was saying but she made sure I heard that she has a ruptured appendix and she needed money to complete her deposit in the hospital. I asked how she got my number and she said I gave her and that her name is Mary. I asked her where I met her and she said I came to buy fabrics from her. I don’t buy fabrics so I was suspicious and asked if she is on WhatsApp as I am abroad. She said something and my credit was exhausted. I called her back with my foreign number and she said please help me because of God. I asked for her account details and she said she will send me the doctor’s account I should pay there. When she called back on my foreign number, her voice was clear so I said to her to send someone to my office that she claims she knows and I will ask them to find something for her. That was the end of the story. But for my mind picking the name of God in vain, I probably would have exposed myself to hackers.
This is how people are extra sensitive now and they are reluctant to help. Please let us stop lying beginning from the pulpit and backing lies up with the name of God. This is one principal offense for which the world is suffering. Nobody trusts anyone again and only the grace of God stops us from destroying ourselves. Kindly honor the name of God out of love for yourself and humanity.
Exercise today: say and do what you mean and mean and say what you do.
