February 26.  Deuteronomy ch 8-10

ECHOES OF HOPE

““The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes. New wine will drip from the mountains and flow from all the hills,” Amos 9:13 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: It gets darkest before light begins to break and it is never permanently dark. Light must break forth, this is our daily hope in nature. The movement of the earth that ensures that it has a daily dose of sunshine to sustain life has been engraved in its creation.  It is the same with everything on earth. Times have been dark in the past and at the fullness of time, light came and a situation that people thought will destroy the earth melted off naturally. 

My people, let us consider the echo of the hope of day that follows night and speak well to our nations and our situations. O you who are in the darkness of lack, the light of abundance will yet shine.  You that live in fear, the light of security is dawning. The Hand that sustains the world from collapsing sustains everything in it and knows when it is enough. 

Hear this from God when he comes to judge the world for a change. Let the weak say, “I am strong!” 3:10b AMP Change your poise, even the weak in faith should say he is strong to bring about change as God ordains it. 

Then this will happen. “The Lord will mediate between peoples and will settle disputes between strong nations far away. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore. Everyone will live in peace and prosperity, enjoying their own grapevines and fig trees, for there will be nothing to fear. The Lord of Heaven’s Armies has made this promise!” Micah 4:3-4 NLT Let this be your hope both for the world and for yourself. Fix your gaze on this hope and rejoice in expectation; say your hope out loud to drive away gloom and when we least expect, darkness will start turning to light. 

Today’s Exercise: There is hope of day after night,  abundance after lack, and peace after war by the design of God. Speak of the day, abundance and peace and security. Be a carrier of HOPE.
