FAITH THAT LIBERATES NATION
“Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, “Go, assemble all the Jews who are found in Susa, and fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens also will fast in the same way. And thus I will go in to the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish.”Esther 4:15-16 NASB
GOOD DAY: How is faith relevant to deliver a nation from bondage in the hands of her rulers? Life is next to impossible in Nigeria for example yet there are so many churches and faith apostles. Of what worth is a faith that cannot deliver? The way faith in God works is that you move in line with your faith knowing that if God does not deliver you then you are finished. Being finished may be your career, marriage, business or whatever but you have purposed to stand by your faith in what God says than bend to join the multitude to continue evil to save your head.
Now, government officials who embezzle money don’t do it unilaterally. They involve lower cadre officials to prepare papers, carry the papers through tables that are necessary and who also know about the illegality of the transaction yet no one stands to stop the movement and report it or cry out loud. If there are two or three people who will not fear losing their jobs if they oppose the evil in every department, higher officers will sit straight. But rather than cry out, the lower officers are given peanuts from the booty and the future of the country is sold.
Churches and other religious houses should start sensitizing their flock to the part they can play in redeeming the country and easing the suffering of the people.
Today, how can you stand for righteousness as your contribution to save the nation? Also how can you educate people in your bubble to do the same?
PRAY: Dear Lord, please help me to resolve in my heart to play my part in establishing Your kingdom of righteousness in my community.
