“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].” 2 Timothy 1:7 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: You are built and equipped with God’s power to face any situation victoriously. Three things that go together for a victorious life are given to everybody. They are the spirit of power, love and sound mind. So where does fear come from?

FEAR COMES WHEN WE THINK OR ACT AGAINST THE WILL OF GOD FOR US. In the beginning, Adam and Eve knew no fear but when they acted out of God’s counsel and followed the serpent’s instructions to reason and act contrary to God’s command they became afraid and lost their power. “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Genesis 3:10 KJV When you listen to any other voice apart from the voice of God then fear comes. Fear comes when you leave the shadow of God’s wing. The simple example is when God says: “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matthew 5:44 KJV. This is one command that is tough to obey and that is why we fear each other. Fear has its root in the serpent, the devil.

We lose our power to self heal when we listen to different reports about our bodies instead of God’s report. Fear comes from the devil but Power, Love and Sound mind come from God. I charge you to be acquainted with God and watch your fears disappear.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Father for showing me the cause of fear. Help me to hold on to your instructions instead of any other suggestion. Say to yourself as often as possible (I have the spirit of power, love and sound mind from God and not the spirit of fear.)
