FORGIVE FROM YOUR HEART NOT JUST WITH THE MOUTH.

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Everyone loves freedom, not just of moving around physically but of mind and feelings. When you don’t forgive someone, you lock the person and everyone related to him in prison in your mind. God will do the same thing with you because He forgave you your own offences too and asks you to forgive others.

Practising Forgiveness.
Every offence comes with a venom that makes the offended person dislike the offender with a passion. At the remembrance of the offence, the venom erupts again. To forgive, you have to deliberately decide that you want to forgive. When you decide to forgive, then you keep saying to yourself “I forgive so and so of this offence. It hurts me but I choose to forgive and love him from my heart. I am no longer bitter. I forgive him and I ask God to forgive him because he did not know what he was doing.” As you keep saying this to yourself, it will enter your subconscious and replace the hurt and venom in the offence then you find that the offence naturally and effortlessly loses its power over you. I have tried it several times and it has become my nature. Try it with one person and one offence until the venom of the offence loses its power.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Jesus for being our example by forgiving those who killed you on the cross. Help me to be like Jesus in your precious name.
