FRIENDS OR CO-OCCUPANTS
Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Be clean in the way that you live. Stop doing wrong things. Make your minds clean. You cannot love sin and love God at the same time. James 4:8 EASY
GOOD DAY: Everybody knows about co-occupation of apartments and it gives a vivid description of the scripture above. In such apartments, you can live there for years and not know or talk to some of the co-occupants. The one that surprises me is when husband and wife are so far apart yet they live literally in the same room! This is the situation between God and man.
Everybody has a spark of God in him otherwise he will be dead. Apostle Paul puts it this way:
“…that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’” Acts 17:27-28 ESV. So God’s Spirit lives in my body with my spirit as well as the spirit of the world. It is whoever my spirit moves close to that I really know of my co-occupants. If my heart moves closer and closer to the Spirit of God, He will move closer to me and we will become friends. My heart will move away from the others and they will eventually flee or withdraw from me.
How do I move close to God? God is Spirit, His word is spirit and life. Hear it from Jesus: “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” John 6:63 ESV. Get close to God through His word. You read, meditate and live His word. You allow His word to be your motivation, the foundation of any thoughts or ideas that you choose to believe. You talk to Him in prayer and listen to how He quickens your spirit. The more you draw close to Him, the more He too draws close to you and the more He quickens your spirit.
PRAY: Dear Lord, grant that my heart draws closer and closer to You. Thànk You fo living in my heart.
