IDENTIFYING EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS.
“You must determine if a tree is good or rotten. You can recognize good trees by their delicious fruit. But if you find rotten fruit, you can be certain that the tree is rotten. The fruit defines the tree. “When virtue is stored within, the hearts of good, upright people will produce good fruit. But when evil is hidden within, those who are evil will produce evil fruit. GOOD DAY. Knowledge is power and it frees people from destruction. God says:” My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” Hosea 4:6 HCSB
God says His people, not strangers, are destroyed for lack of knowledge. It is therefore obligatory that we pay attention to knowledge as children and people of God. Today we are going to look at the tree and fruit of various emotions so that anytime they wells up in us we will recognize them and give no foothold to the bad ones.
Our worksheet is the emotion and feeling wheel above culled from The Junto Institute For International Leadership. Your heart is the center or core of the diagram. Six major emotions can be rooted in the heart. They all have potential energies waiting to bring out their fruits either sweet or rotten. Study and trace the possible feelings each emotion can produce. That is its fruit. So when you feel the fruit of any adverse emotion, you can trace its root and use the truth of God to melt it off.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please help me to pause and find the root of any adverse emotions that may attract adverse conditions to me.
