December 30. Psalm 139
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalm 139:14 KJV
GOOD DAY: Today is the thirtieth of December and it is good to recap and give thanks to the LORD GOD. So many people all over the world, with the economic situation in most countries, will find it difficult to see a reason to give thanks to God. For those who have had challenges in this outgoing year, they may find it difficult to give thanks. But you know what? Your challenge is nothing compared to that of someone else. Thank God that you are able to bear it and live. I chose to thank God for the little things of life in spite of the challenges I had when I saw how important these little things are when people call me to pray with them over these things. Let me list these little things that pointed me to God when life happened to me. 1. I sleep at night and wake up sound and healthy in the morning. I thank God. 2. My heart beats normally. When you experience a fast beating heart with its attendant discomfort, you will thank God for every beat of your heart. 3. I use the toilet with ease and enjoy the relief that comes with it. When I heard the cry of a young man who couldn’t do the big one for one week, I appreciate every time I am able to do it either small or big. 4. Thank God that your head does not ache. You see, having to listen to calls for prayer from people made me appreciate and thank God for each part of my body that has run trouble free for another year in spite of what life throws at me. Thank God for yours. 5. I thank God for my mind that allows me to see good and enjoy each moment as it comes. I thank God that my mind is at peace fearing nothing. Space will not allow me to take each part of the body but you can continue in the exercise. Be conscious of each part of your body and thank God for them regularly then you will appreciate the goodness of God to you.
PRAY: Lord God Almighty, thank You so much for making me fearfully and wonderfully. Never let my soul forget or take this for granted in Jesus name.
