July 26. Isaiah ch 16-18
GETTING TO KNOW GOD.
(GIVER OF WISDOM FOR INVENTIONS)
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

GOOD DAY: Another interesting thing I discovered is that it is God that gives man wisdom to make great inventions according to God’s desire. This touched me much because I had handled big machines in my training and the aircraft never ceases to amaze me. At first, machines doing great jobs were massive but now, they have been made to be tiny and light weight. The Lord Himself gives wisdom for all these inventions to whoever He chooses to use for the job. I then wondered why men devise dangerous inventions that can kill and destroy. Every invention of mankind shows the capability of God but then, man has the will to use it in whatever way he chooses. That has been since man ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 3:1-6.
So when God gives man the wisdom to do something, he is also able to use it for good or for evil as the man desires. Just like God did not stop the first man from eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he does not stop him from choosing to use his wisdom in any direction, good or evil. That is the consequence of man’s independence from God. These are the understanding I was given as I began to pay attention to the knowledge of God.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please let people know that You are the one that gives wisdom to accomplish whatever You want done. May we listen to You alone and not allow ourselves to be led to use the inventions for evil.
