GOD HAS EMOTIONS
“Listen, O heavens! Pay attention, earth! This is what the Lord says: “The children I raised and cared for have rebelled against me. Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care— but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them.” …They have despised the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.” Isaiah1:2-4 NLT
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: How many people know that God has passion and emotions? Most of the time, we are too concerned about and absorbed in our own needs and passions that we forget God completely or at best just mouth Him as a routine. God wants us to voluntarily make Him our friend. He recognised the friendship of Abraham; ““But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend,” Isaiah 41:8 NLT
And also in David: “But now your kingdom must end, for the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart. The Lord has already appointed him to be the leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”” 1 Samuel 13:14 NLT This is when He was telling Samuel to replace Saul as king of Israel with David. God loves us to be close to Him. As you are reading through the bible in one year, pay attention to anywhere God expresses His passion and make loving God your lifestyle.
How do I befriend God? You contact God with your thoughts. We relate in the spirit with our thoughts. Think of God as much as you can during the day. Short ejaculations like “thank You Lord; I love You Lord; You are good; Lord, You are awesome. You are in me and yet you are everywhere; and so on” will put God in your consciousness at all times. This makes you close to God and when you need His help, He is only a thought away.
Today’s Exercise: “Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.” Psalms 103:1 NLT Say to yourself ten times and as often as your mind is free from daily chores “ Praise You God. I love you.”
