GOD IN TRAINING
“Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,” Hebrews 6:1 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: “You are each God/god in training.” When I first heard the sentence in my spirit about one week ago, I wondered what it meant. Then as I sat to write this piece, it came to my heart again that each of us is God/god in training. You are either training to be God or god. The god you are training to be depends on the god that is shepherding you. If the Holy Spirit of God is the shepherd of your soul, then you are God in training. At maturity, you will be able to say like Jesus: “Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.” John 5:19 NASB1995.
It is as you can say this that you have reached maturity. As a trainee under the Holy Spirit to mature in Christ, you need to read your bible. The bible is the word of God that we can relate and connect with. To become a doctor, you have to read medicine and practice, to become an astronaut, you have to read astronomy and practice, to become an engineer, you have to read engineering and practice; likewise to become God that you should be, you have to read the bible and learn to apply it.
One training I have learnt that has saved me from being offended is to laugh at the adversary. Psalm 2:1-4. When the nations on earth were rebellious against the will of God, He laughed instead of complaining or striving with them. He later spoke judgment on them. I have learnt that laughing at adversities makes the will of God clear to me. As you read the bible, you learn and copy God’s nature.
PRAY: Dear Lord, I pray for a teachable spirit so I can mature to be God who dwells in me.
