GOD WHO IS ALL IN ALL

📖

“See now that I alone am He; there is no God but Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal. No one can rescue anyone from My hand.” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32‬:‭39‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Today, I want to engage our imagination and if you can take the time and see that vision, your fears will end and your prayers will become easier, focussed and more passionate.

Now, let us start. Close your eyes and see God in your mind’s eye;  a mighty figure seen by all and all-seeing himself standing and beating His chest confidently at the sight of everybody  declaring, “See now that I alone am He; there is no God but Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal. No one can rescue anyone from My hand.” The day I encountered this verse of scripture and I meditated on it was the day all my fears disappeared. I started seeing God as the only power that exists before whom every other power must bow. I understood fully the saying of Jesus  “Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭28‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Since then, God became my only fear, the only one to whom I direct my attention and energy. It relieved me of the burden of fighting any battles as He fights for me once I hide in Him. My only labour from then has been to remain in Him. Engage your imagination throughout today and record your experience in your journal. Tomorrow, we shall see what powers wealth has, then we shall begin  seeing who to choose between wealth and God in preparing our walk for the coming year.

Today’s Exercise: Dear Lord, thank You for taking me a step at a time to know You. As I do, help me to trust You more and more. Say to yourself “I see the One who sees me and I live.”
