GOD WITH US IN HARD TIMES
July 30. Isaiah ch 28-30
GOD AND FINANCIAL HARDSHIP
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:21 ESV
GOOD DAY: I have been wondering and praying on how God wants us to navigate these tough times with Him. If God cannot help us now, we are likely to deviate to wherever we can find help at least for daily survival. He Himself said we should come and reason with Him no matter how red our sins are. Isaiah 1:18. In my time of looking unto God in my mind, He dropped this thought in me. “Wherever a person’s thoughts rest, his treasure is there”. He went further to enlighten me that most of us do not take note of our thoughts. We are more concerned about the worries of life and the thoughts that come to our hearts are those of the possible outcome of our worries. If you believe that your treasures are with God, then you will let your heart be on the things of heaven and the thoughts that will enter your heart will be of your treasures and how you can get them on earth. Yes, feast on all the treasures of the heavenly realm and fill your thoughts with heavenly realities, and not with the distractions of the natural realm.
Colossians 3:2 TPT
As you do this, the kingdom of God will be revealed to your heart so you can do it on earth. For example, if you lack money or a job, think about the situation in heaven where there is no lack or joblessness. Think about how you will feel being employed and having enough. As you do this, you will become part of the plans in heaven and the part you will play here on heart will drop in your heart then you can pursue it.
This is how our Christianity can see us through the tough times. Do put this to practice and share your experience and testimony.
Remember that even here on earth, you don’t understand the culture of a place the very first day that you get there. It takes time so give yourself time to think of the things of heaven so your thoughts can be in line with theirs.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please show me what heaven is like and keep my focus and thoughts on things of heaven.
