February 9. Leviticus ch 24-25
GOOD NEWS TO ALL
“Then, turning to his disciples, Jesus said, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds!” Luke 12:22–24 NLT
GOOD DAY TO YOU: Today, I have comforting news for all of us who are finding daily bread and meeting our daily essentials difficult. The Lord Jesus Christ sees us and has compassion on us. While I was thanking God for a pressing need I heard, the Holy Spirit speak to my heart and I had a deep understanding and peace in my spirit. He said to me, “Bose, your basic needs are already provided for. Tell all those who believe in Me to stop worrying about their daily bread and essentials. Look at the birds of the air. They neither sow or harvest or store up food yet I feed them to their satisfaction everyday. How much more, you who are made in my image. Your problem is you trust in your ability and keep working out how to get your needs instead of coming to ask Me as a child will go to his father.” I tried it and the peace and joy that instantly came to my heart was much.
The Holy Spirit then opened my eyes to see that our daily bread is His responsibility as our Father. No matter who we are, He will give our daily bread as long as we ask Him. Make praying and asking God for your daily bread your habit. Listen to Him direct you to where you will get it. You are more precious than the birds of the air yet He directs them to their daily bread. How much more will He guide you if you will allow Him. Learn to commit your ways to Him and lean not on your own understanding and power.
Today’s Exercise: Say to yourself 10 times today “My bread today is already provided. I go to my Father in prayer to collect it. I am confident and at peace. Thank You Jesus.”
