HE DELIGHTS IN YOU

“The Lord has removed the judgment against you. He has turned back your enemy. Israel’s king, the Lord, is in your midst! You no longer need to fear disaster. The Lord your God is with you as a hero who will save you. He takes great delight in you. He will quiet you with his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.”” ‭‭Zephaniah‬ ‭3‬:‭15‬, ‭17‬ ‭EHV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The best good news you can have is the good news from God. In Christ, God wiped away the handwriting of sin and judgement against those who believe. This is the summary of the good news.  “God erased the record of our debt brought against us by his legal demands. This record stood against us, but he took it away by nailing it to the cross.” ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭14‬ ‭EHV‬‬. Jesus took away the record standing against us by nailing it to the cross where he died.

The perfection of the good news is that God Delights In You. You may ask “if God delights in me, why are bad things happening to me?” This is a question that people have been asking for ages. With the fall of man, evil or bad things entered the world and mingled with the good God originally provided for Adam. Since then, we each  experience good and bad in various forms at various times throughout our lifetimes.

The delight of God in those who are in Christ is that grace is available to all of them so that the bad things do not consume them. They live out their time here and are called home to God in heaven eternally. Their souls are not destroyed. Also, the bad things do not kill their souls even here on earth. They live in peace and joy in spite of whatever life throws at them. Believe it friend, God Delights In You. If you let this be your mindset, you will discover that you pass through situations with joy, hope and help.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord that You delight in me enough for Your Spirit to live in me. Help me to yield to your Spirit to lead me through.
