UNDERSTANDING HOW GOD SPEAKS
“He said, “Hear now My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, shall make Myself known to him in a vision. I shall speak with him in a dream. Not so, with My servant Moses, He is faithful in all My household; With him I speak mouth to mouth, Even openly, and not in dark sayings, And he beholds the form of the Lord. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant, against Moses?”” Numbers 12:6-8 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: Yesterday, we saw that God could use unusual happenings to get our attention. Advanced as technology is, it will predict various natural disasters but has no way of stopping them.
The earthquake in Turkey and Syria is an example. The extreme cold weather in parts of America is another recent one. These occurrences should draw man’s attention to God. Other ways He speaks with people is what we are reading today. When He speaks with us today, He speaks our language of time. He puts ideas in our minds to tell us about things of our own days. God has a mind.
“Also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind.””
1 Samuel 15:29 NASB1995
“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 2:16 NASB1995
He reveals His mind to our mind.
The problem with the world now is that rather than give glory to God who gives man wisdom, we give glory to man himself. When this happens, God gives man over to depraved minds and man imagines all sorts of things that are neither natural nor good for his existence. This is the full story of the world not climate change and all other theories that man is postulating
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,”
Romans 1:18-21, 23-28 NASB1995
Think about this today and let us pray that the world return to God.
PRAY: Dear Lord, please cause a revival over the world that we may return to You. GIve us teachers who seek to understand You.
