HOW TO HANDLE DEPRESSION.
So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for you are my saving grace! Here I am depressed and downcast. Yet I will still remember you as I ponder the place where your glory streams down from the mighty mountaintops, lofty and majestic—the mountains of your awesome presence. Psalms 42:5-6 TPT
GOOD DAY: Because life is a cycle of ups and downs, we all experience depression sometimes in life. The saints of old and the disciples of Jesus all experienced depression and some wished that they could just die. There are two approaches to handling depression. The first that the people of this dispensation find easier is science- medication. If you are depressed, visit the doctor and he will give you medications and advice. There is nothing wrong with it once you are told the side effects and you agree.
The second is spiritual- faith. Faith to overcome life difficulties is a way of life. At good times, one needs to build a personal relationship with God. Know Him through His word and His work in nature. Make Him the anchor for your life and see how He leads and guides you then you will have confidence in Him. In times of trouble, you can call on Him. Psalm 50:15. Pray to me in time of trouble. I will rescue you, and you will honor me. Psalms 50:15 CEV. When God answers you, you will have no fear and you won’t be anxious and depressed. Knowledge of God is the key to handle depression spiritually.
PRAY: Dear Lord, as world conditions are getting more challenging, teach me to hide in You for protection.
