IN NEED OF THE TEACHING PRIESTS

“For a long time Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law; but when in their trouble they turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them. And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands.” II Chronicles 15:3-5 NKJV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: In my meditation I was considering why the world is without peace both in and out of one’s habitation. If it’s not fear of being attacked with a gun, it is the fear of knife crime. Where those are not the issue, rape is the fear. So many sexual offences are reported even in high places. Kidnapping and internet crime and many other bad acts are reported on a daily basis. No one is exempted from this unrest except the one who knows God deeply and trusts Him. I keep wondering why the world is like this and how we got where we are even in our individual lives.
I discovered the secret truth today in the life of king Asa and the nation of Judah. THERE WERE NO TEACHING PRIESTS so the people did whatever they liked as no one was there to teach them how to live the Law of God. In the world all over today, the church lacks TEACHING PRIESTS. Everybody wants to be a pastor or prophet where they can get recognition and money. Wherever there are no teachers of laws and principles, abuse is the result, everyone does according to what he considers right. People are told that Jesus wants them to have abundance, then they are told to give and they will reap many fold but are never told how to give, what follows after giving and the righteous ways they are to reap God’s blessings. I have been a victim of these teachings and I almost lost my faith as it led me in the wrong way. No matter how much you pray or are prayed for, unless you can walk the way of God you don’t get what you want with God’s blessings. It is just like saying you want to visit a friend without getting up to move towards your destination in the appropriate vehicle and through the best route. We need teaching priests these days who will teach the people the way to follow after God so we can have peace. May God give them to us.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord that learning how to walk with You is uppermost in spirituality. Make me meek and humble Lord. Say to yourself ten times today and as often as possible “I am meek, humble and teachable in the way of Christ. I will inherit the earth in Jesus name.”
