INWARD OR OUTWARD WORSHIP
”Then the Lord said, “Because this people draw near with their words And honor Me with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned by rote,“
Isaiah 29:13 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: In third world countries, there are so many religious organizations and worship houses yet there is so much ungodliness. Even in countries where there isn’t much talk about God, when you give an indication that you believe in and worship God they expect some form of goodness from you so they become disappointed when you display ungodly behavior. Both godliness and unrighteousness flow from inside out. An ungodly person may put on performances and apparels of a godly person but her actions will be unrighteousness. There are outward religious practices and cultures that have nothing to do with the character of practitioners. There is however the inward religious convictions that make a person just, righteous and loving. Jesus says by their fruit you shall know them. Unless the church teaches worshippers how to keep a clean heart and inward religion, wickedness will continue in the land. God is not at fault but His servants either do not know how to lead and teach people in inward worship from the heart or they deliberately decide not to for their own personal gains. Until the heart changes, it will keep yielding the fruit it produces.
PRAY: Dear Lord, teach me how to be close to You and serve You with my heart.
