IT IS WHAT IT IS. (The Worry Killer)

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered King Nebuchadnezzar: “We have no need to offer you a defense in this matter. If the God we serve truly exists, then he will save us from death at your hand, O king. So, if you throw us into the fiery furnace, our God is able to save us. But even if he does not save us, you can be sure, O king, that we would not serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have erected.”” ‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: The first time I heard the phrase “it is what it is” was when a young friend of mine lost his job. He said “anti, I tried my best but if that was not enough then, it is what it is. A better door will open” This is a worry killer phrase that looks on to God for his deliverance. The three Hebrew boys above decided that they will not bow to any God apart from Jehovah. Faced with death from roasting in a furnace, they did not start thinking of a way to escape neither did they make any move to escape. They settled their thoughts and actions on God to deliver them and if He did not, they accepted the worst and it is what it is.

The Hebrew boys knew their God and His nature. They knew that He would deliver them from every evil as long as they stood for Him. We even have a better covenant than theirs because we know that even if it involves death, we go to paradise to be with Jesus and it is what it is. To overcome  worry,  pray and trust God to sort you out and if he does not, let what will be, be knowing that God knows best.

Today’s Exercise : Dear Father, because you know what is best for me, I will trust you and not worry. Help me Lord.
