KEEPING YOUR FOCUS ON THE UNSEEN
And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:3-5 NASB1995
GOOD DAY: A young man worked in a factory where he could embezzle money and it would not be noticed immediately. His salary was very low and he was always short of money. He watched others steal but he kept trusting that 1, there is God. 2. He has and sees all things, 3. He has and owns all things.4. He is willing to give all things to those who ask Him. He used to tell me then that his money will come in a clean way in God’s time and it will be much. He learned how to joyfully enjoy whatever he got. The factory manager died and the owner of the factory decided to ask who should be made the new manager from one of the factory workers. He mentioned that the young man was best suited for the job as he would not steal or cheat. The factory owner was surprised but heeded the counsel. That was how this man was made manager and the factory prospered.
This man did it because he knew God and what He could do. He looked at God and not the pleasures of having money. This gave rise to hope inside him. He kept his mind on his hope. Hope is not seen with physical senses.
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:24-25 NIV
Keep your mind on your hope and the source of that hope and you will be joy filled and happy. Keep your hope in view and you will be happy in any situation.
PRAY: Dear Lord, help me to have my hope in You and keep it in view at all times that I may be happy.
