KNOWING WHEN TO STOP THINKING. 

📖

“Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God. I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46‬:‭10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Thinking is virtual or spiritual work. How many times have you become tired from thinking? Just as your body gets tired from working, your mind gets tired from thinking. This tiredness of the mind weakens the body as well and sometimes you sleep off tired. Faced with a challenge, you start thinking of the various ways out. Some thoughts get to a deadlock while some have a level of possibility in nature but when you try it out, it amounts to nothing and you become frustrated. Once you get to this level, it is time to stop thinking and keep still in your mind. It is difficult to practice but it is possible.

How can you stop thinking? It is by being like a little child in mind. “Surely I have calmed and have quieted my soul as a child weaned by its mother; my soul within me is like a child weaned.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭131‬:‭2‬ ‭AFV‬‬.  When a little child has a need or is hungry, he struggles and cries to get the mother’s attention. Once in the mother’s arms, he rests trusting the mother would sort him out. Tomorrow, we shall continue the discussion but today, practice by imagining putting your head on the lap of Jesus and resting there. That is what I do and I rest my thought on that till God says or does something.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Jesus that I can rest my head on you in my imagination and watch you sort things out. Teach me to rest my thoughts on You.
