LEAVE THE GUILT AND JUDGEMENT TRAIN

COME OUT OF GUILT AND JUDGMENT TRAIN 1
[15] For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I have compassion.” [16] So then God’s choice is not dependent on human will, nor on human effort [the totality of human striving], but on God who shows mercy [to whomever He chooses—it is His sovereign gift]. Romans 9:15-16 AMP
GOOD DAY: We are all familiar with guilt trips. I say guilt trips because we move round and round to see what we have done wrong that has hindered things working out as we expect. Until now, I still blame myself for the disobedience of many years back and say God has not forgiven me in spite of being sorry and asking for forgiveness. While not condoning or encouraging disobedience, we are not to sit on the guilt train and blame ourselves for every act of God that does not favor us. Job was acknowledged by God to be a righteous man who feared God and eschewed evil yet multiple bad things happened to him in succession. Joseph did nothing wrong before he was sold to slavery by his jealous brothers and eventually thrown into prison for fleeing from an adulterous woman. The boy born blind that Jesus healed did nothing wrong to be born blind, even Jesus affirmed this when asked who sinned for the boy to be born blind.
“Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
John 9:3 NASB1995
Jesus Himself had no sin yet He was crucified on the cross for the sin of the world. However, there are others that offended and bad things happened to them as punishment. David lost his first son by Bathsheba; Samson was punished for marrying a Philistine woman Delillah; Zechariah was punished for doubting the angel who brought him the good news that his wife Elizabeth will conceive at old age yet Abraham and Sarah and Mary the mother of Jesus were not punished for similar things.
What then shall we say? God has mercy on whom He will have mercy. The way your own mercy appears is different from mine but we all enjoy His mercy. “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, Because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV
I appeal to all those who have sat on the train of guilt, regret and judgment of their lives and others to disembark now so that they can live better lives enjoying the goodness of God henceforth. Leave God the way He deals with you or other people and give Him glory. Jesus said the boy born blind was for the works of God to be shown in him. The end of your story will be peace and praise if you can leave God to have His way in your life.
PRAY: Dear Lord, let me live seeing Your mercy in my life rather blaming myself and indirectly claiming authority over my life.
