MORE TO LIFE THAN POSSESSIONS
“Then Haman recounted to them the glory of his riches, and the number of his sons, and every instance where the king had magnified him and how he had promoted him above the princes and servants of the king. Haman also said, “Even Esther the queen let no one but me come with the king to the banquet which she had prepared; and tomorrow also I am invited by her with the king. Yet all of this does not satisfy me every time I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.””

GOOD DAY: Two men are in the story above. The book of Esther is worth reading at your pleasure. Haman who is super rich, powerful and blessed with a wife and sons. Then Mordcai the poor gateman at the palace whose only treasure we are told is his niece. Haman with all his wealth and power was still not satisfied, he didn’t want to see Mordecai. This story has been a source of peace to me that no matter the state of a person, life is not dependent on it. Either rich or poor, sick or healthy, married or single, with many children or without any, the quality of life does not depend on any of these temporal and tangible factors. Whether true or false, some super rich people with super influence are not happy in life because they assess that the world population is too high and they are not happy seeing some race alive. Life is inside a person not outside. You may have everything on the outside but if the LIFE in you is not sustained by the author of life Himself, then you have no life at all. At these time when the world is plagued with all sorts of woes, when there is no good news from the social media, when all the world parameters of estimating life are depleting everyday, then let the poor seek the author and giver of life JESUS and they will find joy, courage,comfort, contentment, peace that will pass all human understanding and be the envy of the rich in things of the world. Whatever life has thrown at you today, seek God and you will enjoy the best of everything life has to offer.
