LISTENING TO GOD 2

“Now I will listen to what the Lord God says. He will give peace to his people, to those who serve him. But they must not turn back to do foolish things again.”  Psalms 85:8 EASY

GOOD DAY TO YOU: My ward called me to ask for money and I said okay. He waited online to see what I would reply. We have set our requests before God and we want to know how to wait online to listen to Him when He talks. Read Psalms 85:1-8 to get the full picture. Let us now look at the possible areas of challenge in life and what the word says. 

1. FINANCE: “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT This is one of God’s promises: you can keep saying to yourself as often as you can until you hear what the Lord will say. When the Lord speaks, you have peace. 
2. HEALTH: ““So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.” Exodus 23:25 NKJV This is one I love very much of the healing promises and I keep it in my thoughts regularly. He Himself takes disease out of me. Stay your thought on this until the Lord speaks to you. 
3. UNITY IN FAMILY: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalms 133:1 NKJV Consider this where there is discord until God speaks to you. When He speaks, you have peace. 

The game is each time your five senses present some contrary condition to your mind or thought, you present the word of God to your mind. Consider your faith in the word of God and you will subdue the situation that your five senses are telling your brain. As your brain takes on the word of God, God does the word for you. Listen to Jesus “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.”  John 14:10 NKJV

Some people say “but I am lying”. No you are not. Your five senses perceive facts and facts change. The word of God is the TRUTH and it does not change but it changes facts. Practice these today and write out your feelings as you persist.

Today’s Exercise: Thank You Lord for teaching me to listen to You, help me to make this my lifestyle. Say to yourself ten times “I feed my heart on Your word till You speak to me Lord”.
