LIVING IN HOPE in

For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:24-25 NIV

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Some weeks ago, we spoke about hope. The Holy Spirit impressed it upon my heart that we need to go through hope again as it determines why and how we live. A person without hope cannot have faith neither can a person without faith have hope. Hope must be accompanied with patience. A child saw a doctor in white overall and a stethoscope around his neck. He so admired him that he asked his dad if he could become a doctor. The dad said ‘yes but you will have to be in school for several years.’ The boy agreed and he started schooling and asked for what it would take to become a doctor. He endured for all the years and he became a doctor.

Hope propels us towards the goal. Without a goal, there can be no hope. Hope carries a promise that is worth having. Looking at that promise keeps one going. Whatever steals or destroys your hope kills you spiritually.

What hope do you have in Christ? What have you heard that Christ does for people that you like? Have you heard about the peace, joy and love He gives no matter the situation in the world around? Have you heard or thought of life after death? Have you heard about heaven and hell and that Jesus saves those who believe in Him from hell? Have you heard about the rest He gives to the believing soul? Have you heard about how He heals even today? Take time and hear about Jesus. If there is anything you hear or see that you desire, see the possibility in Jesus and follow Him.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Jesus for showing me how hope is birthed. Open my eyes Father to see my desires in Christ. Let me follow Him with patience till I reach my goal.
