August 11. Isaiah ch 64-66
SEEK LOVE NOT POWER
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

GOOD DAY. Power is associated with every state or status in life. The strongest person in the world has another junior close person he fears because of the power that person has. The most porful person fears the power of his cook, driver or messenger. Isn’t that funny? Because of power, the world has no peace. Where people flex their powers, there can be no peace. World powers dangle their military powers from time to time and that makes other ‘lower’ countries strive for matching power even at the expense of the welfare of their people. Some fathers use their power of paternity to oppress their children and joy disappears from the family. However, with love, power that produces peace in abundance is available.
Love restrains from thinking of doing evil against your neighbor. Love cannot be defined, it can only be described. Unlike love, power has limits. It can be scientifically determined but love cannot. What power can achieve is limited but love can achieve all things. Power becomes outdated or obsolete but love endures forever. If someone is using his power to oppress you today, be patient (love attribute) the power will soon burn out. I want you to keep love in focus today and see how it will lift you above every power tormenting you. There is deliverance in love.
PRAY: Dear God, You are Love. Fill me and fill the world with Love I pray in Jesus name.
