MAKING GOD YOUR DELIGHT
📖
“Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. Psalms 1:1-2 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: It is easy for us to relate and connect with natural things while connecting with spiritual things might pose some challenges. Delighting in people or things you can handle with the five senses is quite easy. With spiritual things however, it is with our heart or mind that we perceive and connect to experience then delight or otherwise in such spirit.

The word and thought are the spiritual person and process respectively by which we connect with the spirit. Like in the natural process, you perceive a person or thing with your five senses and that gives you a feeling that is sweet to your soul which keeps you going back to that person or thing or you are put off.

With God however, you take the word of God relating to a situation or simply calling and thinking on the name of Jesus until you receive peace of mind. Having experienced peace several times, you will settle your mind on the word of God and it will become your delight. When you taste the word of God and you see the fruit of it, staying with it will be easy and pleasant. As you stay your mind on the word of God, you become truly blessed and the word guides you to the next level on your path.

In a world filled with fears and uncertainties, a soul that delights in God will have rest and light to navigate his way no matter what.

I leave you today to let your fears or reactions to things you see lead you to find rest in the word of God.
