Mind. THE Treasure House

“You brood of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man, from his [inner] good treasure, brings out good things; and the evil man, from his [inner] evil treasure, brings out evil things.”Matthew 12:34-35 AMP

HAPPY DAY TO YOU. Today, we are going to look at the heart as the treasure house of life. Jesus gave a deep insight as to where whatever we bring out comes from. Remember that all things were created by the WORD. Word of mouth has creative power. It is stored in the heart from where it is processed through thinking about it until it yields results whether good or bad.

The interesting thing is that like in the physical that you cannot take or use what you don’t have in your treasure house, it is the same in the spirit. You have to decide what you wish to store in the treasure house of your mind. It takes a decision to refuse to take some things into your mind no matter the pressure to build the kind of life that you want.
It is also good that only you can determine what your life will be. Jesus Christ said of the devil.

“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” John 14:30 NKJV
The devil who is the prince of this world has nothing in the treasure store of Jesus. Can you say such a thing about yourself? Tomorrow, we shall name the treasures of the heart and see how they are processed to build life.

Today’s Exercise: Thank you Jesus for showing me that my mind is a treasure house. Help me to store wholesome words in my mind. Say to yourself as often as possible (As I am becoming conscious of my mind, I make an effort to keep it pure.)
