December 1. 1 Corinthians ch 1-6
MY HELP
“I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection is only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall. God is my keeper; he will never forget nor ignore me. He will never slumber nor sleep; he is the Guardian-God for his people, Israel. Yahweh himself will watch over you; he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence. He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night. He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity as he continuously watches over you. You will be guarded by God himself. You will be safe when you leave your home, and safely you will return. He will protect you now, and he’ll protect you forevermore!” Psalms 121:1-8 TPT
GOOD DAY: This is day one of the last month of the year. The Psalm above gives a framework that I find to make God real, at least to me because I believe it and I have observed its manifestations. Until you read and practice what the bible teaches, you cannot affirm the truth. Like everyone else, I used to look up to the mountain of mankind for help and it always failed or ended in insult. Since I started looking up to the Lord, not only do I have enough that I need, I have to bless others that He lays in my heart and I have peace and self worth.
As the year is running out, it is time to start taking stock of your life and decide on necessary changes. Where do you look for help? How does it make you feel? Looking up to the government has not paid anyone. Choose who you will look up to for help and start practising. We’ll continue on this psalm tomorrow.
PRAY: Thank You Lord that You are dependable. Teach me how to totally depend on You going forward.
