MY TAKE ON CONNECTING WITH HEALING

📖

“And he said, “If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God, and will do that which is right in His sight, and will give ear to His commandments, and keep all His laws, I will put none of these diseases upon you, which I have brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord Who heals you.”” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15‬:‭26‬ ‭AFV‬‬

HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Yesterday, we were to make up our own take in connecting with healing. I did the exercise myself and what struck me deep is Exodus 15:26. It is God who puts disease and it is He who heals as well. It was easy for me to see God as healing diseases but not putting disease on people. My eyes were then open to the opening part of the scripture. It started with “If”, a conditional clause. That means  there is a condition that makes Him put disease on people. Anyone who constantly ignores Him and His voice, walks in a way that attracts diseases just as Pharaoh did and had diseases put on the Egyptians.

However in His love and mercy, He gave authority to heal to the elders of the church who will pray and anoint the sick and his sins will be forgiven him.  “Is anyone sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him after anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick one, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” ‭‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭AFV‬‬

My conclusion is, it is God who heals. Man in any healing profession cares. Hospital wards have the inscription “WE CARE GOD HEALS” I pray today for all those on the bed of sickness that God will crown the work of carers with healing in Jesus name.
