NITTY GRITTY OF IMAGINATION
“This is what the LORD says to the people of Judah and to the residents of Jerusalem: Break up your hard rocky soil; don’t plant among the thorns.”
Jeremiah 4:3 CEB
“As for the seed that was spread on rocky ground, this refers to people who hear the word and immediately receive it joyfully. Because they have no roots, they last for only a little while. When they experience distress or abuse because of the word, they immediately fall away. As for the seed that was spread among thorny plants, this refers to those who hear the word, but the worries of this life and the false appeal of wealth choke the word, and it bears no fruit.” Matthew 13:20-22 CEB
GOOD DAY. The heart is like the soil of our life and imagination is the seed planted in it. When you consider the manifestation of your imagination like farming, you will have a good understanding of working out your salvation. For imagination to take root at all, it is advisable to search your heart of all the old beliefs that you have long held on to contrary to what you imagine. It is also advisable that you clear your heart of bad motives and dispositions and fears. Unforgiveness, hatred and all these things cristalyse and make the heart a rocky ground unsuitable for the successful planting of any good imagination. Likewise,when the heart is plowed free of rocks, unrighteous imaginations cannot take root in it as you recognise it and direct your heart to the way of Phillipians 4:8. “From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise.”
When you have your imagination as a child of God, Christ in you the hope of glory goes to work to first cleans your heart. That takes time depending on your cooperation with Him.
Like plants are watered to grow and be fruitful, imagination too needs to be watered. To water the imagination, one needs to praise and give thanks for the assumed desire fulfilled. The pressure of the current undesired situation will give you some adverse feelings but you have to revert to thanksgiving and praise for your imagination fulfilled. This is because, IF YOU CAN IMAGINE IT, IT IS DONE IN THE SPIRIT REALM.
Old beliefs and thoughts and intellectual analyses will rise up to contradict your imagination but hold on to your imagination and think from your imagination fulfilled rather than what it is that you are experiencing.
PRAY: Dear Lord, guide me to plot my fallow heart and deal with all stones with the help of the Holy Spirit.
