NOT GOD’S FAULT BUT OURS 1
“After exploring the land for forty days, the spies returned to Moses, Aaron, and the whole community of Israel at Kadesh in the wilderness of Paran. They reported what they had seen and showed them the fruit they had brought. They told Moses, “We explored the land and found it to be rich and fertile; and here is some of its fruit. But the people who live there are powerful, and their cities are very large and well fortified. Even worse, we saw the descendants of the giants there. Caleb silenced the people who were complaining against Moses, and said, “We should attack now and take the land; we are strong enough to conquer it.” But the men who had gone with Caleb said, “No, we are not strong enough to attack them; the people there are more powerful than we are.” So they spread a false report among the Israelites about the land they had explored. They said, “That land doesn’t even produce enough to feed the people who live there. Everyone we saw was very tall, and we even saw giants there, the descendants of Anak. We felt as small as grasshoppers, and that is how we must have looked to them.”” Numbers 13:25-28, 30-33 GNT
GOOD DAY: Today is the beginning of another month and you and I need to look at our attitude thus far. Attitude determines how we thrive or otherwise in any condition. The story above is what we shall study for some days and I will want you to read Numbers chapters 13 and 14 to be able to flow well. Twelve people went to spy out a land. Ten of them came with the same attitude while two had a different attitude. Their attitudes determined their report to Moses and the community. Then the crowd showed the attitude they chose from the two. I see my country and our people in this story. Think on this story today, and tomorrow we will begin the analysis so that you can decide to change if need be and enjoy the rest of the year and onwards.
PRAY: Dear Lord Jesus, thanks for thus far You have seen me this year, guide me in my attitudes and decisions going forward.
HAPPY MONTH OF OCTOBER.
