NURSING BABY FAITH
“In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life —”. 1 Peter 2:2 TPT
HAPPY DAY TO YOU: Baby care is no longer the sole duty of women these days. Some men know how to care for babies more than their wives. A baby takes milk to grow and the older he becomes on milk, the more he exercises his muscles to lift himself, sit, crawl and eventually walk and at a point, solid food is introduced to him for more nutrients to meet his needs and make him stronger.
The measure of faith that God gave each one of us is like the new born baby who has to grow so we can live to fulfill our purpose on earth. God says “the just shall live by his faith”. “Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright in him; but the righteous shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4 ASV
Faith in anything is built by the consistent hearing of the word of such a thing or person or system. None of us will leave our babies hungry for one day not to talk of weeks or months yet we leave our faith hungry of the milk of the word of God. If you see faith as the instrument of living, you will be careful to feed it and with the truth of God every day. Plan to read through the bible in one year. Do it every year. There are various plans but I choose the plan that goes straight through the bible from cover to cover in one year. Nobody is too young to be initiated into the bible reading club. The earlier a person starts reading the word of God the better for him. Read Romans 10:14-17. Tomorrow, we shall see how to live by faith.
Today’s Exercise: The more I read the bible, the more faith grows in me and the more I see. This is good to know. Say to yourself ten times today “I will make my bible reading to be in the prime time of the day”.
