PATIENCE. (ENDURANCE)
“Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith [through experience] produces endurance [leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace]. And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4 AMP
GOOD DAY: Today, everyone that reads this devotional should thank and praise the Lord with me. I begin another year in my life. I want to share the very good thing the Lord added to me last year. Today is my birthday.
What is this beautiful thing that the Lord added to me? It is PATIENCE; ENDURANCE. Like the scripture above says, I had many trials and trying moments in the past year of my life Calendar. At such moments, God said I should be quiet and calm. He said ““For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:” To be quiet and calm in the face of trial and provocation is a hard virtue to develop. It takes God. With quietness and calmness He gave me joy and peace that truly passes human understanding. Through it all, I have sought the face and presence of God more, I know what faith is all about; I can discern the voice of God in my heart clearly and I have had a deeper spiritual life. I have learnt to be aware of my mind and am building the art of consciously controlling my mind. It has been a year of blessings. For all these and much more, I say ‘Thank You my Lord
Emmanuel ever present with me.’ So I say “Yes, this is my God, my great God forever. He will lead me onward until the end, through all time, beyond death, and into eternity!”

PRAY: My Lord and Friend Emmanuel, please make me always aware of Your presence with me and never let me grieve You.
