PLACE OF PEACE AND SECURITY

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Happy DAY TO YOU: The tower of refuge or bunker does not have an obvious door. The enemy or any stranger for that matter cannot identify the door as it looks exactly like the rest of the wall or floor. It is a secret place that gives the occupant confidence, peace and security once he runs into it.

Our text today says God keeps him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed upon Him. Psalm 91 says “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭91‬:‭1‬ ‭AMP‬‬.  Another version puts it Clearer “If anyone lives in Almighty God’s safe place, the Most High God protects them.”

God’s safe place is His word. If your soul or thought stays in God’s Word, you are in His safe place. You have peace and He protects you for eternity. 

Let’s do a quick check of your soul’s safe place. If you feel an unusual pain in any part of your body, where and who do you first think of or run to? That is your own safe place. Second, when you are broke, where or who do you first run to? That is your safe place. In any event, where does your mind stay? That is your safe place. Check other situations and see the first port of call of your mind. I leave you today to consider where your mind stays when you have no work at hand, the default resting place of your soul. Observe your feelings as you are there. Write them down in your journal. We shall continue tomorrow God willing.

Today’s Exercise: Dear Father, thank You for bringing me to the knowledge of myself. Help me to find myself in You always and I will be in Your peace no matter what.
